Native of Holland. The Wild chicory is related to the chicory/endive family and the roots of the plant can serve as a substitute for coffee. But of course this perennial native species is mainly meant to show off its lovely light blue color in your garden. Grows best in calcareous soil Attracts a lot of bees and butterflies. In the Netherlands it is appropriately nicknamed “Road Warden” because it often appears along roadsides.
